HF Alky
HF Alky valves are specialized industrial valves engineered for use in hydrofluoric acid alkylation service—a critical process in petroleum refineries where hydrofluoric (HF) acid acts as a catalyst to produce high-octane gasoline blending components. Because hydrofluoric acid is extremely corrosive and hazardous, HF Alky valves are constructed from highly corrosion-resistant materials such as Monel, Hastelloy, or other specialty alloys, and are designed to meet stringent safety and performance standards (e.g., API 624, UOP and ConocoPhillips requirements) to ensure tight sealing, minimal fugitive emissions and long service life under severe operating conditions. These valves—including gate, globe, check and sleeved plug designs—provide reliable isolation and flow control in HF alkylation units, helping maintain process efficiency while protecting people, equipment and the environment from the dangers associated with HF acid exposure.
